This privacy policy explains how Pocket City Clash (“PCC”, “we”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our websites, register for qualifiers, compete in city cups, or interact with our apps and services across Europe.
Short version: we collect the minimum data we need to run fair, safe events and give you clear controls over that data.
Data We Collect
- Account & Profile: display name, contact email, chosen city, roster slot, and role.
- Event Logistics: check-in times, queue windows, match IDs, case IDs.
- Device Signals: model class, mirrored sensitivity/FOV profile, latency and jitter metrics.
- Content: support requests, appeal notes, media submissions you send to us.
- Technical: IP address, approximate location (city-level), cookie identifiers, crash logs.
How We Use Data
- Run competitions: brackets, scheduling, officiating, and results.
- Integrity and safety: anomaly detection, case reviews, sanctions, and appeals.
- Communications: service emails, schedule changes, rulings, and security notices.
- Improvements: bug fixes, performance tuning, reduced-motion defaults.
- Legal compliance: tax statements, KYC at prize payout where required.
We do not sell personal data. We share only with vendors who help us operate services, under contracts that limit their use to our instructions.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand site performance and outages. We aggregate results and avoid building ad profiles.
Device Profiles
To maintain mirrored sensitivity and fair-play windows, we normalize device settings by class. We store the profile mapping and variance bands; we don’t read personal photos, messages, or similar.
Legal Bases (EU/EEA)
- Contract: running events you register for.
- Legitimate interests: integrity, safety, and service reliability.
- Legal obligation: tax/KYC where applicable.
- Consent: optional features like reduced-motion, creator programs.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for operations, audits, and legal obligations. Typical ranges:
- Match logs & case IDs: 12–24 months.
- Payment/KYC records: up to 7 years (jurisdiction dependent).
- Support threads: 24 months after closure.
International Transfers
When data moves outside your country, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, DPAs, and vendor audits.
Your Rights
- Access, correct, delete, or port your data.
- Object to processing or request restriction.
- Withdraw consent where relied on.
- Complain to your local data authority.
To exercise rights, contact us with your account email and, if relevant, your Case ID or Match ID for faster lookup.
Children
PCC is not directed to children below the minimum esports age in each host country. We remove underage accounts reported to us and restrict in-venue access accordingly.
Changes
We’ll update this policy when practices change. We’ll post a notice in the app or via email for material updates.
